毎日の記憶が積み重なって　それらが結びつき私というものをつくってゆく。
そして自分と、その外側にひろがっている空間、せかい。
どちらもずっとずっと「拡大」してゆくと、おおもとは小さな原子。
さらにその周りを陽子が回っていて、もっと小さな世界もあるという。
考えていると一体どこまでが自分と言えるのか判らなくなる。

そんな事をいつも考えていて、物理的・時間的な意味や、精神的な意味でも自分と世界の関わり方、
存在のあいまいさについて、また存在するもの達が影響を与え合って
どちらも変化してゆく様相に興味を持って作品をつくってきました。

様々な意味合いをもつ「宇宙」という単語ですが、「あらゆる存在物を包容する無限の空間と時間の広がり」
という意味が自分の考えている事にもしっくりくると思い、
また、途方もない世界のひとつひとつの存在について思いを巡らせたい、
という意味で今回の個展のテーマとタイトルにしました。

Through accumulating everyday memories, 'I' is being made.
There are two things - myself, and area which is expanding around me - the world.
Both of them are a small atom even if they keep expanding themselves.
Furthermore, there is a proton circulating around and there is a even smaller world.
It thus makes it difficult to distinguish where is myself but where is not.

Koizumi Tomomi always thinks about the physical and temporal meaning, and also the mental meaning of things. She is interested in things which are related to 'myself' and 'the world', the ambiguity of existence. She is also interested in how things change when they are being influenced. Her artwork is made under such interests.

Though there are a lot of meanings of 'universe', 'the extension of space and time which consists of everything', is one of the meanings which fits her ways of thinking exactly. Moreover, with the purpose of circulating different ways of thinking regarding things existing in the world, the title of this exhibition is made.
